Important: Different programs may use files with the CHK file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your CHK file is, you may need to try a few different programs. Often these files can be removed, as the information contained within them is also stored elsewhere on the user's computer. These errors are then written out as CHK files. The Windows operating system runs the ScanDisk and CHKDISK checking applications to find errors that may be located on the hard drive. These file fragments are fragments of files that have been cleaned from the hard drive by the ScanDisk or CHKDISK disk checking applications. chk file extension is also associated with Windows file fragments. As far as I know, it was a MooTools function to check whether the value existed (the value was not null, and was not false or equivalent) and it returned true/false depending on its given value (Whether it was true or not). CHK files have multiple uses, and CHKDISK Fragment is one of them.
